Z-Wave is a wireless communications protocol used primarily for home automation. It is oriented to the residential control and automation market and is intended to provide a simple and reliable method to wirelessly control lighting, aircon, sensors, etc. For example, VIDA can notify you or sound a siren if your window opens.

Yes. The app is able to support up to five VIDA gateways. You can set them up anywhere to have complete visibility and control.
VIDA’s dimensions are approximately 117 x 80 x 75 mm.
Generally all Z-wave certified products should be compatible.
60 devices can be added to a gateway.
You have the option to store the videos in a SD card, Network Attached Storage (NAS) or Dropbox. Recorded video can be played back from VIDA mobile app.
Only SD cards of class 10 and above can be used with a maximum of 64GB.
Ensure the SD card is compatible and is fully inserted, where a “click” sound should be heard when fully inserted and a locking mechanism will be felt together. A yellow LED will start to blink when the SD card is initially inserted. After a few seconds, the yellow LED should stabilise and stop blinking.
If the yellow LED continues to blink and not stop after a minute, remove the SD card and turn off the Gateway by disconnecting the power wire for a minute. After that, connect the wire back to the Gateway and insert the SD card again.
VIDA will send you push notifications to your mobile phone if a security event occurs at home – such as a door opening. These events can be set up in “Scene” setting.
The red LED of the Gateway should be stable when the camera is connected to the internet. If the red LED is blinking, please check the network connection and settings again.
- If the Gateway is connected to the router by cable, please check if the cable is properly inserted. If the Gateway is connected to the Wi-Fi instead, check if the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is available.
- Power off and on the Gateway and wait a few minutes till the red LED is stable. After that, try connecting the Gateway with the app.
Connect the gateway to the router using a cable.
Restart the gateway by unplugging and plugging its power cable and try to update its firmware again.
